Is there a test at the end of Pass Plus?

No. Pass Plus is assessed as you go across the six modules. Your instructor confirms you have reached the required standard in each one, and the certificate follows from the DVSA.

What does DriveBooked charge for a Pass Plus enquiry?

The enquiry itself is free unless an arrangement fee is shown on this page at the time you enquire. Tuition is agreed with, and paid directly to, the independent instructor.

Pass Plus

The DVSA Pass Plus scheme for newly qualified drivers, delivered by instructors registered to provide it.

Pass Plus is a structured post-test scheme created by the DVSA. It is delivered only by instructors who are registered with the scheme, and it covers driving in town, in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways. DriveBooked does not run Pass Plus itself — we pass your enquiry to a verified instructor in your area who has confirmed they are registered to deliver it, and you arrange the sessions and tuition payment directly with them.

Who can take it

You hold a full GB car licence — Pass Plus is a post-test scheme, so it cannot be taken before you pass.
It is aimed at drivers in their first year, though there is no upper time limit on taking it.
It must be delivered by an instructor registered with the DVSA Pass Plus scheme; a normal ADI badge is not enough on its own.

What a session looks like

Six modules covering town, all-weather, rural, night, dual carriageway and motorway driving.
Around six hours of driving in total, usually split across two or three sessions.
No test at the end — you are assessed continuously and must reach the required standard in each module.
Your instructor submits the completed record and the DVSA issues your Pass Plus certificate.

How booking works

Tell us your area and what you want. DriveBooked looks for a verified, active instructor who covers that area and has confirmed they offer pass plus. Nothing is reserved when you enquire, and if nobody suitable covers your area we will say so rather than pass your details on.

Tuition is arranged with, and paid directly to, the independent instructor. DriveBooked charges no arrangement fee for this service at present.

Pass Plus is only offered through DriveBooked by instructors who have confirmed they are registered to deliver it. If no registered instructor covers your area, we will tell you plainly rather than pass your enquiry elsewhere.
