Instead of ringing round local instructors and waiting for callbacks, you tell DriveBooked what you need and we search for one. You can start a booking from any Great Britain postcode. DriveBooked then searches its verified instructor network for an instructor who covers your area — a match is confirmed only when an instructor accepts.

Identity, DVSA approved-driving-instructor standing, insurance and vehicle details are checked and recorded by DriveBooked staff before an account can receive a booking.

Matched to where you actually are

Instructors record the areas and practical test centres they cover. Your booking is only offered to instructors whose recorded coverage includes your area.

Right transmission, every time

Manual and automatic are recorded on every account and every booking, so you are never introduced to an instructor who cannot teach in the car you chose.

DriveBooked fees are paid to DriveBooked for arranging and managing your booking. Driving tuition is charged separately at £45 per hour and paid directly to your independent instructor.

What to expect

What happens after you ask us to find an instructor

DriveBooked is a booking and matching agent. The instructor you are introduced to is self-employed and runs their own tuition.

  1. 1You pay the Booking Agent Fee and your search starts. No instructor is reserved at this point and none is promised.
  2. 2Verified instructors covering your area, with your transmission, are offered the booking.
  3. 3The instructor who accepts is introduced to you, and you arrange lesson times, pick-up points and the car with them directly.
  4. 4Tuition is paid to the instructor at the published hourly rate. If nobody accepts within 28 days, the refund policy applies.

Questions about finding an instructor

Start a booking with your postcode, transmission and the number of hours you want. DriveBooked searches its verified instructor network for an independent instructor who covers your area, rather than asking you to ring round yourself. You are introduced once an instructor accepts.

Yes. Every instructor account is verified before it can receive a booking: identity, DVSA approved-driving-instructor standing, insurance and vehicle details are checked and recorded, and an account can be suspended if that evidence lapses. Verification is handled by DriveBooked staff, never self-declared by the instructor.

Not at the moment. DriveBooked does not publish individual instructor profiles for browsing. You tell us what you need and we offer your booking to verified instructors who cover your area with the right transmission; you are introduced to the one who accepts.

No. The Booking Agent Fee pays for a search, not a reservation. If no verified instructor accepts your booking within the 28-day search period, the published cancellation and refund policy applies.

Tuition is £45 per hour, paid directly to your independent instructor. DriveBooked's £49 Booking Agent Fee is separate and covers arranging and managing the booking. Your instructor never invoices you through DriveBooked.
