How we write and check what's published here

DriveBooked publishes information that learners use to make a financial decision. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

Our rules

Standards applied to every public page

Written down so they can be checked against, not just claimed.

Facts come from records, not assumptions

Test-centre names, towns, counties, postcodes and coordinates come from the DVSA practical test-centre dataset we hold. Distances between places are calculated from those coordinates. Fees and tuition rates come from the published price schedule used by the booking system itself, so a page cannot disagree with what you are charged.

We do not publish local claims we cannot support

A page never states or implies that an instructor is available in an area unless our records show verified, active coverage there. Where coverage is not evidenced, the page says plainly that DriveBooked searches its verified network after you book.

No invented social proof

DriveBooked publishes no reviews, star ratings, testimonials, awards, pass rates or pupil numbers that it has not genuinely collected and cannot evidence. If you see any such claim on this site, it is an error and we want to know.

No mass-produced location pages

Location pages must carry information specific to that place — the DVSA centres near it, real distances, neighbouring areas and the options actually offered there. Pages that would differ only by a place name are consolidated into one page rather than published separately.

Waiting times and live availability

DriveBooked does not publish live DVSA test waiting times or availability figures, because we do not hold that data and it changes daily. Where waiting times matter, we explain how to check them at the official source rather than quoting a number.

Corrections

If a page is wrong — a test centre has moved, a distance looks implausible, a fee is stated inconsistently — email us and we will correct it and note what changed. Accuracy complaints are treated as priority support, not marketing feedback.

Sources

Where our information comes from

  • DVSA practical test centres — the official GOV.UK test-centre information, stored and reviewed before publication.
  • Instructor records — verification decisions, coverage and transmission recorded in our own system by the instructor and reviewed by an administrator.
  • Fees and tuition — the single price schedule used by the booking and payment system.
  • Driving law and test rules — GOV.UK. We link to the official page rather than restating rules that change.
